The Nucleus were a British rock-jazz formed during the seventies, close to "Canterbury Sound" (Soft Machine, Matching Mole) but also to jazz innovators as Miles Davis, Weather Report and Keith Jarrett.
Co-founder of the band and trumpet player was Ian Carr,
also known for the appreciated biographies of Davis and Jarrett.

Discographies of this group are not widely available on Internet, as far as their albums are not easily available and rarely reissued on CD.
