Dexter Gordon lived and recorded during his career both in US than in Europe. Collaborations involved other great jazzmen of that period, as Donald Byrd and Freddie Hubbard, Bobby Hutcherson, and many important rhythmic sections, including double bass players as Bobby Cranshaw, Paul Chambers, Niels-Henning Orsted Pedersen, drummers Philly Joe Jones and Billy Higgins, and piano players Kenny Drew, Sonny Clark, Horace Parlan and Bud Powell.
