Sade is the stage name of Helen Folasade Adu, musician, songwriter and fine artist to which it's dedicated this page, but it is also the name of his group, with her since the 80's. The other musicians in the band are Stuart Matthewman (sax and guitar), Paul Spencer Denman (bass), Andrew Hale (keyboards) .

Initiator and icon of the reaction, refined and soft, against the wave punk in the late '70s and early '80s, Sade has remained a model for all singers who, after her, have dedicated themselves, at regular intervals, to the rediscovery the beautiful sound of classic jazz, the atmosphere from the night club, the rediscovery of vintage charm. The innate class, the beautiful velvety contralto voice, the charm and natural charisma, the beauty particular, however, have found very few rivals in acclaimed followers (recognized or not) as Norah Jones, Katie Melua, Madeleine Peyroux or the same Diana Krall, and even in lesser-known performers, on the border between jazz, folk and pop and experimental music, as Holly Cole, Stacey Kent or Emiliana Torrini.
Note that Sade is not only an interpreter, but often is co-author of the lyrics and sometimes of the music of the songs published on his few and well thought out albums.
