This song written by Roy Wood, led to success in the UK and USA in 1968 with his Move, was covered with great success of in Italy in 1969 by Equipe 84  as Tutta mia la città (the town is all mine).
Blackberry Way, the band's fifth single, reached #1 among singles in the UK in 1968 and was the most successful hit of the group (the next single, Curly, will still be in the charts the following year). It 'a song considered important for the innovative use of the mellotron, an instrument "synthetic" (simulating the string orchestra), performed in this case probably by the same Wood, who has great space few very soon after in the progressive genre. The next group of Roy Wood, the Electric Light Orchestra (ELO), will be among the first proposing a of the mix of classical and rock. The keyboardist Richard Tandy, in this song playing harpsichord, was also with Wood in the ELO.
