I want you back again
I want your love again
I know you find it hard to reason with me
But this time it's different, darling you'll see

You gotta tell me you're coming back to me
You gotta tell me you're coming back to me
You gotta tell me you're coming back to me
You gotta tell me you're coming back to me

You said we're through before
You walked out on me before
I tried to tell you, but you didn't want to know
This time you're different and determined to go

You gotta tell me you're coming back to me
You gotta tell me you're coming back to me
You gotta tell me you're coming back to me
You gotta tell me you're coming back to me

I wait as the days go by
I long for the nights to go by
I hear the knock on my door that never comes
I hear the telephone that hasn't rung

You gotta tell me you're coming back to me
You gotta tell me you're coming back to me
You gotta tell me you're coming back to me

You gotta tell me you're coming back to me
You gotta tell me you're coming back to me
You gotta tell me you're coming back to me

You gotta tell me you're coming back to me
You gotta tell me you're coming back to me
You gotta tell me you're coming back to me

Note

The first song written by Jagger - Richards for the Rolling Stones' first album, released in April 1964, and which will reach a great success, surpassing in sales the album of the same period of the Beatles (Meet The Beatles). A basic blues with an ostinato bass, it is actually a perfect beat tune, one of the prototypes of the genre. Released as single only in the U.S. the following year, reached  #24 in the American charts. In Italy they have been given a good version from the Equipe 84 years as Quel che ti ho dato (That I gave you).

The co-leader of the group, next to the eternal front-man Mick Jagger in this crucial year for the Stones'  was, without any doubt, Brian Jones, as evidenced by the video of British TV available on YouTube, where you can see Brian charismatic and side by side to Mick, and on the background , playing guitar to accompany, a quiet and a bit 'sad Keith
.
