Rolling Stones- Time Is On My Side (1965) |
|
|
Time is on my
side, yes it is Now you always say
Oh, time is on my
side, yes it is You're searching
for good times Go ahead, go ahead
and light up the town Well, time is on
my side, yes it is 'Cause I got the
real love |

Note |
Time Is On My Side is
a song written by
Norman Meade
(real name Jerry Ragovoy, he also wrote other songs of the '60s), and
therefore not by the Stones, but pretty good, the song became a hit in the
U.S. (# 6 in 1965 ) where he had been released as a single. The song is
about a man abandoned by his woman, but who knows, or hopes, that "time is
on his side"and that she finally will come back to him, though he is hoping
that during this period of time as "single" she could do all the experiences
that her heart desires; he will be always around, ready to resume the
relationship. An Italian version, with different lyrics and really weak, was proposed in 1965 by the Equipe 84 as La fine del libro (The end of the book). |
